Why Join GPA

Access To The Leading Edge Of Industry Research
The GPA cooperative research program has received worldwide recognition because of its successes and benefits to the global midstream industry.  Over the past 40 years, a vast amount of data has been collected from GPA-led research efforts.  With GPA membership, comes privileges, and most research reports and bulletins are available for download.

Advocacy
For all companies, small, mid-size and large, GPA's increased presence on Capitol Hill, enhanced communications with legislators and regulators, and heightened focus on state midstream issues in the key states of Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming serve to protect members' interests in matters that companies might not otherwise be involved. For major companies, our proactive involvement in the areas described will not only supplement what your people with such responsibilities are doing, but also serve as an extension to their capabilities.

Recognition
The GPA Awards Program is one of the most visible means that GPA meets an obligation to more fully develop the gas producing and processing industry. These awards are tangible, public evidence of appreciation by the industry, the association, and industry colleagues to those individuals who have contributed significantly to the advancement and development of the light hydrocarbons industry.  GPA Safety Awards recognize companies with outstanding safety records in the industry.

Professional Development And Networking Opportunities
GPA hosts the premiere yearly gathering of midstream industry professionals, the GPA Convention.  The event attracts more than 1,500 attendees representing 450 companies and 18 countries each year, providing an unparalleled opportunity to share best practices, receive the industry's latest legislative and regulatory information and benefit from technical sessions led by industry experts.  GPA also has a network of chapter organizations that offer opportunities for individual memberships and provide an excellent avenue for networking in your particular region.  Chapter organizations hold periodical meetings and offer educational and networking opportunities specific to their regions.

Career Opportunities
There are many career opportunities in the midstream industry. Contacts made through scholarship activities, chapter events and the Annual Convention will enhance the possibility of employment in the midstream industry. Additionally those already working in this industry can use the association to further their career. Being engaged on a GPA committee will expand your knowledge and develop you into a more valued employee. Many current industry leaders served in leadership positions of GPA committees to develop skills that have furthered their careers.

Exclusive Member Rates
Your GPA membership provides highly discounted prices on the entire database of GPA Publications, posting jobs on the GPA/GPSA Career Center, the GPA Convention and other association activities.
