President and Chief Executive Officer

Mark Sutton is president and CEO of GPA Midstream and is responsible for the strategic leadership of the midstream industry organization. Sutton also serves as secretary of GPA Midstream’s sister organization, the Gas Processors Suppliers Association (GPSA). He joined GPA Midstream in 1982 as director of technical services. In that role he oversaw and provided direction to GPA Midstream’s technical and research activities, including committees, publications and standards. Sutton was elected secretary in 1987 and was elected as GPA Midstream’s executive director in 1991. His title changed to president and CEO in 2013. Prior to joining GPA Midstream, Sutton worked for Mid America Pipeline Company from 1980 to 1982. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University.

Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary

Johnny Dreyer is senior vice president and Corporate Secretary of GPA Midstream and is responsible for the many of the day-to-day operations of the organization. He directs the annual GPA Midstream Convention and oversees the planning and complete execution of the event. He also serves as the interface between GPA Midstream and its domestic chapters and international affiliated organizations. Dreyer joined GPA Midstream in 1994 as director of industry affairs. In that role he oversaw and provided direction to GPA Midstream’s legislative and regulatory affairs activities, including all committees and subcommittees. Dreyer was elected secretary in 2007, and his title changed to senior vice president and corporate secretary in 2013. Prior to joining GPA Midstream, Dreyer worked for Texaco’s Natural Gas and Liquids Division from 1981 to 1994. He holds a Bachelor of Administration in business management from Southern Nazarene University.

Vice President of Government Affairs

Matthew Hite is GPA Midstream's vice president of government affairs and leads the association's federal advocacy activities in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining GPA Midstream in January 2015, Hite served as policy counsel and committee executive to the Environment, Technology & Regulatory Affairs Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In that role, he handled a variety of environmental issues and also managed the Chamber's Environment and Agriculture Committee, the policymaking body for environment and agriculture issues and initiatives. Before joining the Chamber, he spent close to a decade working on Capitol Hill. He was senior counsel to Ranking Member Jim Inhofe (R-OK) on the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works where he handled a number of environmental, agency oversight and regulatory issues. Prior to that, he worked on energy and environmental issues for congressional members from Alaska, Idaho and Ohio. Hite holds a Juris Doctor from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester.


Director of Technical Services

Martin Erne joined GPA Midstream as director of technical services in February 2015 and directs the association's research and technical iniatives. Prior to joining GPA Midstream, Erne worked as an engineering project manager for DCP Midstream, managing projects including custody transfer meter stations, pipeline laterals and connections. Prior to that, he worked in various engineering roles for Lamons, S&B Engineers and Constructors, Neptec USA and Jacobs Engineering. He joined Jacobs Engineering in 2007 as a project engineer, where he was responsible for managing the design, construction, testing and certification of International Space Station (ISS) intravehicular activity hardware and providing real-time support for ISS flight crew equipment. Before that, he worked as a flight planner for the United Space Alliance where he provided real-time support of space shuttle missions for the Shuttle Mission Control Center. Erne holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University and a Master of Science in engineering management from the University of Houston.

Director of Communications

Crystal Myers joined GPA Midstream as director of communications in January 2013 but worked in a communications role for the association on a contract basis since early 2007 as GPA Midstream’s account lead at Dollahon Public Relations. Prior to that, she worked for ConocoPhillips' corporate communications and transportation divisions with focus on internal communications at the company's headquarters in Houston. Myers serves as the media contact for the association and oversees the organization's overall communications strategy. In addition, she manages the GPA Midstream Convention’s sponsorship program and serves as staff liaison for GPA Midstream’s Program Committee and Young Professionals Committee. Myers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with emphasis in public relations from Oklahoma State University.
