GPA Midstream Association



GPA Midstream’s Technical Section C – Products & Specifications is responsible for developing and maintaining product quality specifications for LP-Gas and natural gasoline, as well as monitoring and commenting on specifications for natural gas and CNG. The emphasis of this group is the identification, test methods and possible control of natural gas liquids contaminants. This committee meets at least two times per year, most commonly in April and October.

This committee has representation from individuals with midstream operational, technical and commercial responsibilities. This committee accepts volunteers with appropriate experience, and members may also be assigned by a GPA Midstream member company.

Technical Section C has been working with an American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) task force to develop a specification for natural gasoline to be used as a blendstock in ethanol fuel blends or as a denaturant for fuel ethanol (ASTM Work Item #45419).
